Ingredients:


1 lb steak, cut into thin slices

1/2 cup water, divided

1/2 cup soya sauce

4 tablespoons brown sugar

3 tablespoons vinegar

2 cloves garlic, crushed

2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger

1 tablespoon cornstarch

3 tablespoons oil

1 bunch broccoli, cut up

1 large onion, chopped


Directions:

1 Marinate steak in mixture of 1/2 of Water, Soy Sauce, Sugar, Vinegar, Garlic, Ginger and Cornstarch.

2 (At least 10 Minutes).

3 Drain well, reserving marinade.

4 Heat oil in wok or skillet.

5 Add steak and brown.

6 Add broccoli and onion.

7 Cook at medium-high heat, stirring for 1 minutes.

8 Add remaining Water (1/4 cup), cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until Broccoli is tender-crisp.

9 Add marinade and cook until sauce is hot and thick.

You remember that old joke about Chinese food? Two hours later and you are hungry again. In this case you are hungry again when you stand up from the table and by the time you pay your bill you can't remember what you had just eaten.

One of the few vegetables I loathe is broccoli but between reading anything more from Joe Gazzam and eating broccoli, I would choose the broccoli.
