Warning- You  all may be subjected to posts about my great furnace adventure. Like right now.

It's dead, Jim.

While it still produces heat, the blower is kaput so it doesn't circulate through the house, and that's the least of its problems. I have had the first of several furnace people in today and this man told me I needed a company not a single man operation like he is. I will need permits, it will take more time than I care to think about, and possibly a large quantity of alcohol. The worst case scenario is every single piece of ductwork will have to be rerouted, the best case scenario is that only the first floor ductwork will have to be done, I am hoping any ductwork can wait till warm weather.

Tomorrow a heating and cooling company will view the disaster zone.
